Stop Treating Anti-Semites Like Celebrities

We would never treat white supremacist anti-Semites like celebrities. So why treat THESE anti-Semites like celebrities?

We never thought we would see the day when anti-Semites would be praised as “rising stars”* in the United States.
March 6, 2019

But that is exactly what is happening now.

Representatives Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) are being hailed as a “new wave” of power-brokers in Washington D.C., while they profit from anti-Israel, anti-Semitic proclamations and pal around with anti-Semites like Linda Sarsour.

Slide each image back and forth to see how WRONG it is to treat ANY anti-Semite like a celebrity!

As former Obama Chief of Staff and current Democratic Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel warned:

“I’m all for new voices in the U.S. Congress. But lately, some of those new voices have been voicing some very old canards…some ugly tropes about Jews…remarks [that] are not anti-Israel: they are anti-Semitic.”

– The Atlantic, March 7, 2019

These anti-Semitic proclamations include questioning the “allegiance” (read: dual loyalty) of American Jews who support Israel, saying that “evil” Israel “hypnotized” the world and calling Israel an “apartheid” state, and tweeting that Congress’ support for Israel is “all about the Benjamins” – meaning: bought and paid for by rich Jews.

For decades, Israel enjoyed bipartisan support in the U.S. Congress. Today, that bipartisan support is being fractured and dismantled by a radical “new wave” of old-school anti-Semites.

It gets worse…

Some Jewish organizations like the ADL, which are supposed to stand up to anti-Semitism, instead stood up to applaud the fake apologies of a virulent anti-Semite,  calling them “honest” and mystifyingly applauding Omar for her “commitment to a more just world,” and announced that it “welcomed” and was “pleased” by a toothless resolution that was “an attempt to water down and downplay antisemitism.” – Jerusalem Post, March 10, 2019

Meanwhile, “old-guard” Congressional leaders appear swamped by the rising tide of anti-Semites within their own ranks.

And our media and popular culture are treating anti-Semitic proclamations like they’re legitimate debates, while embracing anti-Semites like they’re celebrities.

It gets worse…

While anti-Semitism is on the rise, support for Israel is falling.
